  • Are you starting your own craft business?

  • Would you like to make your craft/art your source of income?

  • Do you need to organise yourself professionally and have a good system set in place to continue selling your craft or art pieces?

  • Do you need to re-brand or update your business to suit the new climate we are living in?

When you are setting yourself up as a craft business or professional Artist you need to constantly work on your business aswell as in your business.

.

Craft Mentoring is mentoring for the creative person, looking after all aspects of the craft piece, advertising and business, making it easy to deal with and creative and fun to suit the creative persons character.  If being inspired and creative is in your nature then a business head is usually not your first priority.  Craft mentoring works on what is important in this market without all the extras that are unnecessary for a craft persons business.

Producing your craft is the main focus but now you must source your materials, advertise yourself, sell your product, brand your business, price your products fairly, run your website, do your own book-keeping and deal with galleries, shops and customers and keep them all happy!

There are always areas that need to be worked on, we all can’t be good at everything.

Putting a system in place, finding what is most effective and easy for you is what will help you run your business effectively and save you time and money.

.

Taking time to organise your system from tried and tested methods will allow you to get on with the exciting part of being a craft maker….making your craft!

.

Taking time out to meet with a mentor can sometimes be just what you need  to run a business when you are a creative person.   Pricing, websites/blogs, business name, business cards/leaflets/brochures, packaging, simple book-keeping, advertising, artist statement, applying to galleries/shops, getting the best out of your customer /mailing list, selling techniques are the basic areas that need to be worked on.

With an interactive workshop, in a fun environment Karen Harper goes through tried and tested ways for you to enjoy what you do, get great results and have full job satisfaction daily.
